The Southwest Waterfront in Washington DC has become one of the premier communities in Washington DC. Located off of a Green Line Metro stop and minutes from I-395/295, the neighborhood continues to grow day by day as more stores, restaurants, buildings and homes move in. It is convenient to downtown, the National Mall and much more. Residents love the convenient Safeway, CVS, Starbucks and some of the great restaurants that are already in the neighborhood like Z Burger and Station 4 and are looking forward to the new additions. Ever popular food trucks even line the streets here too.
This neighborhood is known for the neighboring Wharf area. Currently an exciting fish market (you have to visit if you've never been) a new expansion is bringing upscale dining and entertainment to the waterfront. In a few years this might be the hottest community in DC.
One of the big draws to the Waterfront area is the proximity to DC Sports. The Green Line metro takes you right to Verizon Center for Capitals/Wizards/Georgetown/Concerts and you are also 1 stop away from Nats Park (metro not even needed!). DC United is also building their new soccer stadium in the area so it is going to be an even more fun neighborhood.
