Dear Prospective Home Buyer
My family moved to this calm, peaceful neighborhood on my son’s birthday in 2021.
Unfortunately, even though we’ve made several updates to our home, professional needs dictate
a relocation.
This home holds many dear memories for us. My son boarded the school bus for the first time,
on his birthday, on the day we moved into this house. My children awoke for the first time to a
snowstorm outside and dragged my wife and I out of bed to sled on the hill at 7:00 a.m. My
parents and siblings spent Christmas together in this house for the first time; all of us together.
Neighbor kids rode to our house to ask our kids to come out and play. Our host daughter and
her family from overseas spent Independence Day with us. We will never forget the memories
afforded to us in this house.
This community is a breath of fresh air from what we experienced on the West Coast. There is
room to grow and breathe. There is nature. There is security. There is privacy. There is peace.
And our nation’s Capital to appreciate.
Also, there are many good people here who come together to support one another, as a
community.
The beach, hiking trails, a canoe launch, the playground, and the train station are all five
minutes away. The expressway is 15 minutes away with a dedicated Fastrak entrance. It is an
hour on the train directly into the heart of Washington, D.C. In 20 minutes, you can stroll the
downtown streets of Fredericksburg or watch movies in the park and in 30 minutes you can find
all the shopping options you’ll ever desire.
My family will miss our beautiful, serene home and the friends we’ve made here. It is our hope
our family will find such a wonderful place, similar to this neighborhood, when we relocate.
Regardless, we will cherish our memories of and in this house and the beautiful woodlands
around it.
Sincerely,
The O’Hara Family
