Dear Prospective Home Buyer,


We built this home on Armetale Lane thirty years ago.  Our children have grown into adults, and now have their own children.  For all of us, this home has continued to be our safe place, full of amazing memories and shared experiences.  We have one 21-year-old granddaughter who has never been anywhere else but here for Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.  We are choosing to move into a nearby military retirement community, yet even now, our hearts wish for another decade here.  

This home has been a welcoming greeting place for family and so many friends.  We remember so much laughter as we took turns searching for plastic Easter eggs around the house and bushes, only to hide them again and start all over.  We remember Holiday dinners as we all helped cook in our spacious kitchen.  We hosted Gourmet Group dinners where friends would bring their recipes to cook and share.  Our family room with gas fireplace and high ceiling continues to be a popular gathering place even now.  The view out the back of the house is extraordinary in each of the four seasons.

Our home is on a circle of 7 houses, all built about the same time.  We have known and enjoyed some great folks – the small circle invites relationships, helping each other, and a great, safe place to raise families.  There are so many children in this area; it has been a joy to watch them grow up.  We spend a lot of time walking the trails around our home and nearby beautiful Heron Pond.  

While our community feels quiet and sheltered, it continues to have great access to primary commuter resources; for restaurant lovers and shoppers, there is easy access to the Springfield and Fair Oaks/Fairfax Corner areas.
Retired military, our family moved a number of times, but our Armetale Lane home will always stand out as the jewel and focal point of so many memories and blessings.  This home seems to shine brightly whatever the season; we will truly miss it.
