A Letter From the Owners
Dear Prospective Home Buyer,
We have lived in this home for almost nine years and have created some amazing memories and beautiful friendships. We are sad to leave, but needed more space for family.
We moved here when our daughter was 2 (she’s now 10) and had our son while living here (now 8). They have enjoyed growing up with the neighborhood kids and playing in the woods behind the house.
We will miss running and biking the miles of trails just behind the house. The trails actually go past Lake Mercer and all the way to Burke Lake! We’ve explored dirt trails off the main trails with fun “beaches” along the creek and tot lots throughout.
We initially purchased this home due to proximity to excellent schools and ease of commutes. When we purchased it, we needed to be near both Fort Belvoir and a metro to commute to DC. It is only five minutes from the 95/495 interchange for ease of travel and is the perfect location no matter where in the DC metro area you work. And if you telework, you will enjoy sitting on the back deck with your laptop enjoying a cup of coffee and listening to the birds. The backyard feels like a cabin retreat with beautiful trees and privacy.
We will very much miss our wonderful neighbors, the community pool that is one minute away, the ability to walk to the school and play on the playground, and the woods and creek to pass the afternoon hours.
We hope you’ll form friendships with the amazing neighbors in this community and enjoy the surrounding nature and prime commuting location just as we have!
Sincerely,
Diane Smith and Lance Mogard
